Our Hog Roast Heywood professionals have spent many years helping our customers to wow their guests with our speciality hog and spit roasts but we also offer so much more in terms of choice and variety too. One of our highly popular menus to offer this as standard is our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which gives you your choice of three marinated meats from a possible five and four sides from seven.

One of our long-term customers who knows how this menu can help to make sure that all your guests are treated well is Melvin, who recently asked us to cater a function at the pub where he is the landlord. Melvin loves this particular menu, as in the past it has always tickled his guests’ tastebuds while also providing food for various personal tastes and there’s even a homemade vegetarian option too if needed.

For his most recent party, Melvin asked Hog Roast Heywood to slow-roast spicy chickens, sticky pork ribs and beef brisket, cook mac and cheese, corn cobettes and sweet potato wedges and freshly prepare our homemade coleslaw, as well as make veggie skewers for his vegetarian guests.

On the day of the private party, our team cooked up a veritable feast for Melvin and forty guests, with a great array of options to suit everyone. We spent hours roasting the trio of meats low and slow, and by 5pm, it was finally time to serve them alongside more tasty dishes.
