Time flies when you’re roasting hogs and serving up smiles! We can hardly believe we’re cruising into the second half of 2025 – but what a journey it’s been so far! Each month brings fresh events and new faces, and May has kicked off with a bang for the Hog Roast Denton team.
This month, we had the absolute pleasure of catering at a buzzing small business networking and workshop event right here in sunny (well, mostly!) Manchester. With hundreds of passionate entrepreneurs under one roof, the atmosphere was electric. Attendees gathered to connect, learn from industry experts, and get inspired to take their ventures to the next level. And when it came time to recharge, guess who stepped in to fuel the fun? That’s right – your favourite hog-roasting crew!
The organisers asked us to keep things simple and delicious – and we didn’t disappoint. Our signature hog roast sandwiches were the stars of the day: slow-roasted, free-range pork carved straight from the spit, nestled into soft rolls with our rich, herby sage and onion stuffing (cooked in the hog’s own juices for that unbeatable smoky flavour), and topped with our famous handmade applesauce. Easy to eat, and impossible to forget, it was the ideal feast for a crowd of networkers on the move!
But Hog Roast Denton wasn’t done yet. We believe everyone deserves to enjoy a plateful of flavour, so we cooked up BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls for our plant-based companions, complete with crunchy vegan slaw. Add in seasonal mixed salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, and a generous helping of classic and sweet potato fries, and you’ve got a spread that ticked every box.
Not only did the food go down a treat (we heard several “best sandwich ever” comments floating around!), but it also worked wonders as a conversation starter; because nothing brings people together like great grub.
The organisers were over the moon with the service and have already promised to spread the word about Hog Roast Denton far and wide.
