Hog Roast Ashton under Lyne’s Festive Outdoor Feast

While Hog Roast Ashton under Lyne is famous for cooking hog and spit roasts, and especially our pigs in buns which everyone loves, you may be surprised to know that we can actually cook so much more if needed. Whether you’re thinking of a winter warmer on one of these cold days, where we cook your choice of meat, vegetables and potatoes and add homemade sauces and gravy, or our popular Southern Slow Roast Menu, which features several marinated meat dishes as well as several homemade sides, or even if you need a special diet catering at your party or event, Hog Roast Ashton under Lyne can do just about anything you can think of.

When Clark contacted us a while back to book a winter party at his home, he wanted to make sure his guests were fed something warming in front of the heaters so that they forgot all about the weather. That’s where our amazing winter warmer excels. With hot, freshly-cooked, high-quality meat of your choice, which we prepare and roast at your venue so that it’s as fresh as can be, accompanied by steaming hot, fresh, seasonal vegetables of your choice, and even a potato dish of your choice, all smothered in our homemade gravy and served with our homemade sauces and stuffing, you can see that this menu is all about your choice. You can choose from meats such as pork, turkey, chicken, beef or lamb, and whichever you decide on, we arrive at your venue with a raw bird or animal and cook from scratch. From preparation to service, we love to ensure that you get exactly what you ask for.

Clark chose whole-roasted turkeys for his party guests, and asked us to cook Brussel sprouts, carrots and parsnips, make creamy mashed potatoes and serve with our homemade trio of cranberry sauce, onion gravy and sage and onion stuffing.

On the day of the party, our Hog Roast Ashton under Lyne team members arrived hours before the food service in order to prepare the meat and set up the gazebo and serving station. By 4pm, the heaters were all turned on and we were carving away so that Clark and his guests could enjoy a truly fabulous feast outdoors.
